Our Forest Properties

Lush, quiet and perfect for a day in the woods.

The World Forestry Center owns and operates two working forests donated to us by landowners who wanted to ensure their properties would be protected from development and managed according to the principles of sustainable forestry.

Magness Memorial

Our flagship property is Magness Memorial Tree Farm located 20 miles south of Portland near Wilsonville, Oregon. Each year, thousands of school children and visitors enjoy the 2.5 miles of hiking and interpreted trails. The property also includes an education center and three log bunkhouses perfect for youth group overnight camping.

Johnson-Swanson Memorial

Our second property, The Johnson-Swanson Memorial Tree Farm, was donated to the World Forestry Center by Donna Swanson in 1997 and is located near Silverton, Oregon. This wonderful education site is presently only open by reservation.
