Sponsor a Fellow
The International Fellowship Program serves as a catalyst of best practices knowledge-transfer to professionals in forestry and natural resource management from around the world. Help fund a fellowship. A full six month program costs $10,000. Every year we raise funds for 8 fellowships. Contribute at the level that you can.
Attend the yearly Fellow’s Events
Every year in early May the World Forestry Center hosts a Meet and Greet reception for our incoming fellows’ cohort. This event is intended to introduce the year’s cohort of fellows to the community and allow both, fellows and community members, to connect early on in the fellows time in the Pacific NW
This event sparks:
- housing fellows
- building friendships with fellows (hiking, dinners …)
- learning more about fellow’s countries of origin, cultures, natural resources realities…
- volunteering with organizations related to their projects
- learning about stakeholder organization located in the PNW
- interest in visiting and interviewing specific stakeholders
…and sooo many other potential partnerships!!!
If you are interested in attending our next Fellows Meet and Greet, please email Shadia Duery,Fellowship Program Manager, for more information.
Every year in September the World Forestry Center hosts an evening event for fellows to present their fellowship project findings to the community. These 10-minute presentations are PowerPoint formatted and crafted for the general public. Attendees range from to the natural resources stakeholders that exchanged information with them, people hosted in their homes, and/or befriended them over their 6-months in town.
If you were not able to attend to them this year, enjoy the presentations on video.
