Wildfire Preparedness Weekend at World Forestry Center

May 20 & 21 | 11:00 am – 4:00 pm

As wildfire season approaches, Oregonians must take steps to protect their homes and communities. To help residents prepare, the Oregon Office of State Fire Marshal, in partnership with Portland Fire and Rescue, is hosting Wildfire Preparedness Weekend at World Forestry Center’s Discovery Museum on May 20 and 21 from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

This free event offers a unique opportunity for residents to learn how to reduce the risk of wildfire around their homes and communities and get involved in protecting our state from the threat of wildfire. Attendees will have access to expert speakers, interactive exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations.

“This partnership with Portland Fire and Rescue provides an important educational opportunity to help residents better prepare for wildfire season.”
